Four theorems on the tonal music

Abstract

From the exercise of teaching ´Music Theory´ courses about the Tonal Music or common practice period and the handling of Harmony, Counterpoint, Form and Analysis textbooks, the tonal repertoire performance and the attentive, curious and critic communication with colleagues and students, several questions arose to which our group of Research dedicated the last four years. In this booklet we want to inform the main conclusions after a long reading, discussion and theorization process of investigation on four subjects that, even if recurring along the History of Music Theory, each in it’s own way, can offer nowadays new perspectives: Natural or physical bases of Tonalism, Music Micro Morphology and Figuration, Chromatic unitonal chords and Problems in the Musical specialized Lexicon.
