Abstract

There are several widely known papers on indigenous collective rights, for example the right to a self-regulation autonomy, the right to of land, the right to political participation, the right to collective ownership and the right to prior consultation, to mention a few. However, the right to self-government or internal political autonomy has not been deeply or properly developed. That is why this essay aims to provide a first multidisciplinary approach for better understanding of this particular right.
Mainly, considering that the right to self-governance is the requirement to enforce other mentioned rights.
