Abstract

A problem is formulated at the core of this research as follows: What is the content and latent meaning of contemporary university administration discourse regarding the management of teachers working in such institutions, in the city of Medellin? To solve this question the so called teacher statutes were used as sources. From there, basic data needed for an analysis of the discourse in question were collected through the inspection of records. Distinctive words and their definitions were isolated. The management model prevailing in the imaginaries of the institutions was identified. Through a hermeneutic of the administrative educational discourse, it was possible to unveil the latent meaning of discourse present in the language of the models. Thus, the content of contemporary discourse of private university institutions was determined in the city of Medellin regarding the management of its human educational talent.
