Abstract

The high demand for manufactured elements overflows in some cases the productive capacity of manufacturing companies; it is common phenomena in the Colombian industrial environment. Such demand is generated in most cases by two visible reasons: the first one is the increase of local request for products due to specific seasons such as Christmas and special dates; and the second one is motivated by the entrance of products to new markets such as the ones in North and Central American, among others. In order to supply such merchandise demand, suppliers appear as a solution alternative, which reach a preponderant role in the productive chain since they must guarantee quality and fulfillment in their products. For such reason, it is not enough to locate those suppliers, this location must be fast and accurate based on up dated information. This article presents a dynamic tool –GESTEC-PRO improved- that enables to obtain supplier information and location based on first hand information due to its dynamic data actualization system it grants the information about the possible supplier, in real time.
