Abstract

This article proposes a methodology that allows the prediction of the time in which the maintenance service for a centrifugal bomb must be carried out. This methodology comprises different diagnosis tasks which go from the selection of the data acquisition points to the forecast optimization. The methodology is validated in an experimental pumping system, in which there is simulation of a breakdown condition caused by the progressive obstruction of the suction line.
