Abstract
Intelligences enable the development of capacities, skills, and learning in the labor world. In these, the organizational models have incorporated new ways of understanding labor competitiveness, infl uenced by psychology, anthropology, sociology, economics, and medicine, disciplines that have contributed to the rise of problems regarding the topic. Which is the relation among competitiveness, capacities, and intelligences? Which type of intelligence is needed for the labor markets in the Colombian economy: segmented, dual, polyvalent, and fl exible? Until where are the basic competences the fundamental referent for the labor world? Which types of intelligence or intelligences enable their development?
