Abstract

What do a memory, a dream, and a film have in common? All three play with time, bending it, hiding it, transforming it. Cinema is a "time capsule" that allows us to inhabit other lives and feel emotions we didn't know we could feel. Cinema is light made memory. By embracing nonlinear narratives, the "seventh art" reflects how memory and desire fragment chronology, revealing that its true power lies in transforming each viewer's experience of inner time.
