Ciencia abierta en América Latina: ¿nuevos paradigmas o viejas dependencias?

Abstract

Open science offers an opportunity for greater transparency and efficiency in scientific activity by changing current practices. On the one hand, the concept embodies a set of values and principles rooted in the noblest tradition of scientific activity—one that seeks to expand humanity’s body of knowledge for the sake of general well-being and progress through the free circulation of and access to that knowledge.
