Abstract
This article is a non-conventional glance of some aspects of the Adam Smith’s theory, based on the comparison between the economic principles Wealth of Nations and the moral principles in Theory of Moral Affects. More specific, it asks those interpretations that ignore the continuous line between both works, and its gap between economics and moral and politics. At contrary, the article shows a reading about the genesis of a rational moral and the institutional bases that allow the development of the market economy.
