Abstract

The subjective reconfiguration that suffered Latin America in the decade of the fifties – as consequence of the revenue of the woman to the field of cultural production and the arrival of great European migratory masses – needed a discursive response on the part of the organic intellectuality of the continent. Totalitarian gestures that there generated small reactions written by intellectual women and / or expatriates, who were outlining another way of being a learned subject. With this base, it proposes to read the novel Exilio (1957), by Sara García Iglesias, text where the immigration is constructed from the social margins that there were occupying for then the intellectual Spanish-American women.
