Abstract
The electrocoagulation system plays a primary role for an effective removal of pollutants. Several design aspects to be considered have to do with the cell, the electrodes, its materials, geometry, and electrode arrangement. They are essential for electrocoagulation to deliver optimal results. Based on a wastewater’s physico-chemical characterization in dairy industry, an electrocoagulation system was designed. The system was intended to study the behavior of the various parameters involved in the pollutants removal. The research helped to establish electrodes geometry, materials and the typeof plug, as well as to define the voltage source’s electrical settings.
