Machinery assignment to machinists of a dyeing factory by means of simulation of the process. An application of Markov Chains

Abstract

This article presents the development of a simulation model of a dyeing process, by means of Markov chains of first order, developed for the company Hilos de Colombia*. the objective of the study was to create a model that would allow the evaluation of different configurations of the assignment of workers to machines, in order to compare its efficiency and then decide which configuration to apply.
