Studies on Graduated. Eafit University Experience

Abstract

Higher education institutions are in a constant search of instruments that allow them to evaluate the quality of their education. The application of surveys is a suitable tool to know the perception of the graduated population about the received formation and to understand the labor and academic tour that every individual experiences once the professional degree is obtained. As consequence of the entrance of Eafit University to the Colombian accreditation system on April of 1997, the Planning offi ce began the development of researches that allow a periodic follow-up to the different cohorts and to evaluate some indicators of professional success. The article describes some conceptual aspects of the professional follow-up and it presents the tour that the Planning Offi ce has on this type of works and summarizes the main results found by the research team.
