Abstract

Industrial dynamics is an expression of development, it is shown in the emergence and disappearance of firms and constitutes the life cycle in accordance with space distribution. This article refers to the study of industrial dynamics based on the conjunction of three points of analysis: Industrial organization, which gives information about the market structure, the combination of productive factors and the firm performance; economic geography as the recognition of the importance of time and space in economic and social processes; and territorial policy, as the integrating element that materializes the possibilities for regional development and, within it, the development of the firms. Territory becomes a key point for the formulation of policies, and includes diversity and heterogeneity in the space organization of the firms.
