Abstract

Currently, the social companies have to compete to obtain resources from the business sector and the governmental entities, what has created the
need for a management system for themselves; that allows them to show their capacities in the execution of projects. However, they do not have a tool that allows to measure integrally the fulfillment of the objectives of these organizations, because in many cases these are difficult to quantify. This article describes the adaptation of a multi-dimensional model, the balanced Scorecard, BSC, to measure and evaluate the management of projects of social companies based on the use of this model in the project: “Los Yarumos” Rainforest Eco park, of the Crossed-sector partnership made up by the United Nations Development Program, UNDP, the Manizales Mayor’s office, Casa Luker and Luker foundation. The study of this case can be used as reference for uses in other Social company projects.
