Abstract

This article analyzes the book on the organization of Antioquia´s railroads written by Civil Engineer Francisco Javier Cisneros entitled "Reglamentos para la organización de los trabajos de construcción y del servicio de explotación de ferrocarriles"* from the perspective of modern services marketing theory. This publication was printed in Bogotá in 1884, and may be the first book on general management known in Colombia. In this presentation the objective is to identify embryonic elements of services management.
