Application of Indicators for the diagnosis of Production Systems

Abstract

Nowadays, one of the first activities to perform, in order to improve the competitiveness of industrial enterprises, is focused in the improvement of its production system, with the objective of gaining important advantages in cost reduction, quality, speed and flexibility. However, before beginning an improvement process, it is necessary to evaluate the organization and its particularities in such a way that the challenges proposed, have a positive impact. In this way, this current article shows a contribution to the diagnosis phase, emphasizing in the use of management indicators that evaluate, in a quantitative form, the production system of the enterprises.
