Abstract

The Wine Palm (Attalea butyracea) is widely distributed in the north coast of Colombia, but it has been destroyed by the peasants because they cannot get any useful products. This article shows an integrated process to obtain three products from the fruits of the palm: activated charcoal, oil and a cake that can contribute to the economy of the region.
