Abstract
The role of the media in the construction of the cultural, ideological and political environment of the society, constitutes a recurrent thematic in the contemporary Colombian narrative. The interpretation that is carried out of this modeling process of a cultural subject from the fiction represents, at the moment, the interests of the investigation line in literature of Eafit University. This is the background where the semiotic analysis of Ricardo Silva Romero’s story is located, Semejante a la vida, in which through the imitation of the characteristics of the denominated talk show, the ideological processes included in this kind of television programs are evidenced.
