Abstract
The author presents an analysis of the economic crimes related to fraudulent speculation, the paper details the political-criminal limits of the criminal law protection and the contours of the criminal prohibitions that in Spain are responsible for such protection limits. Moreover, the author analyzes the dogmatic structure of Article 284 of the Spanish Penal Code, in order to apply such concepts to the particular case of price manipulation known as "Bankia case".
