Abstract

The academic musical development reached in scholarly symphonic composition in our country has influenced a meaningful number of composers of a large volume of works of differing shapes, sizes and particularities in orchestration. These works deserve to be studied, analyzed, performed, recorded and widely disseminated, nationally and internationally. Our project will continue in the near future and has had a methodology consistent in the recollection, analysis, study, rehearsal and recording of those Colombian works that, through the research process itself, could be ranked in an internationally acceptable level, in order to make their aesthetic and artistic values visible to the music world. We want to preserve now and in the future, works that have been performed more and reached some public acceptance and others that have obtained a moderately good premiere in the country or that have at least gained a first public appearance without a significant audience and specialized critics.
