Abstract
This text provides a review of the key concepts upon which the musical work for string quartet “Comentarios sobre la ininteligibilidad” is based. The purpose of this preamble is to present the concerns that the composer had at the time he wrote his composition. He does so by elaborating on Lerdahl’s ideas on both the compositional systems and how the music derived from these is perceived and cognized by the listener through the cognitive constraints he proposes. Followed by this preamble, the reader will find the score of the aforementioned composition.
