Crisis and challenges of the triple hélix schema on the corporative governance in emerging markets

Abstract

This paper analyzes the historical interaction that the triple helix (academy, enterprise and government) has shown in the local, regional and national context. The interest lies in understanding not only how the relationship between these elements has gone through ruptures, crossroads, but also actions that have exacerbated the crisis or those that, on the contrary, have contributed to overcome them. Thus, through ten interviews with experts, such as former ministers, businessmen or university professors were questioned about these issues, which included counter-questions that arose in the development of the interviews. In such a way that it was possible to delve into issues such as the historical relationship between the triple helix and made findings related to the role of cooperation and corporate respect in the culture and business ethics of Antioquia, in what this region has been a pioneer; likewise, they touch on themes such as the function and utility of business paternalism, the social function of entrepreneurship, the requirement of new leaders to bring entrepreneurs closer to politics and, Finally, it concludes with some recommendations aimed at consolidating a project that prioritizes cooperation without political distinctions, in order to achieve economic and political development, as well as the general welfare of all sectors of society.
