Approaches on the influences of learning music in the development of the children of six years

Abstract

The purpose of this article, is to present some hypotheses about the incidence of musical education in the development of six-year old children. Additionally, it discusses different aspects such as affection, and development of motor and language skills. A rigorous review of the related literature took place from the end of 2013 to May 2015. It included studies on the development of the musical education involving cognitive, psychological, and affective aspects. All of them towards the development of the musical sense and language. Such studies, are centered around different stages of child development, starting at their fetal period up the end of their school age. Similarly, six-month long observations took place at an elementary school in Paris, France, where six-year old children were observed during their music classes, and in other subjects. This was made in order to establish differences and deductions for the research, always taking into consideration the professional music experience of the researcher.
